ACME Shines with Pride at the 80th Anniversary of Victory in WWII

September 5, 2025

On September 3rd, China commemorated the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War in Beijing with a grand military parade and a solemn cultural gala. The cultural gala was held at the Great Hall of the People, under the theme “Remember History, Honor the Heroes, Cherish Peace, and Create the Future.”

Leaders of the Party and the State, war veterans, decorated honorees, and representatives from all walks of life gathered to witness a moving artistic performance. The gala combined music, dance, and theatrical drama to recreate key historical moments and evoke the spirit of resilience and unity.

ACME was honored to contribute to this historic event, where our cutting-edge lighting solutions brought historical scenes to life—immersing the audience in both history and art.

The AECO 30 IP profile lights, installed above the stage, delivered powerful, precise beams and high CRI, vividly recreating the smoke and chaos of war while highlighting the courage of resistance fighters. With a variable CTO, the fixtures seamlessly shifted from warm to cool tones, adding emotional depth and dramatic intensity to each scene.

The TORNADO multi-head effect lights, positioned as ground backlights at the rear of the stage, cut through with sharp beams to outline the performers, creating a sense of mystery and striking visual impact.

With their high CRI, the COMET followspots provided precise tracking of performers, enhancing key narrative moments and ensuring dramatic focus.

In addition to these three fixtures, the event also featured the SUPER DOTLINE multifunctional effect light, combining beam, strobe, and wash. While the PIXEL LINE IP and PULSAR S2 were deployed at Tiananmen Tower to enhance the architectural facade with powerful visual accents.

Eighty years on, the echoes of history remain powerful. This gala was not only a display of artistic brilliance but also a collective remembrance and a testament to the enduring pursuit of peace. ACME is proud to have played a role in honoring the past while lighting the way toward a brighter future.

Justice will prevail. Peace will prevail. The people will prevail. Here’s to our heroes, to peace, and to a brighter future for our nation!
